With all the hype about the hundreds of “weight loss” diets being released such as low fat, high protein, low carb, raw food, and various diet plans along with diet pills like Hoodia and Phentermine , fat burners and the like, people spend billions on it. every year on a weight loss program that helps shed a few pounds with most regaining the weight after a few months. In addition, the fact that diet books seem to make the top of the bestseller list every month is a clear indication that there is always a public interest in weight loss.

One of the most difficult problems to overcome is overeating. It arises from sugar addiction. Unlike chemical addiction, sugar is something we need. We cannot eliminate it from our diet and expect to live more than a few days. Therefore, we must have a special attitude toward food if we have any hope of controlling our eating. Now is the time to think thin. Have you ever noticed a skinny person in your life? I mean the types that don’t seem to have a problem controlling their appetites. They don’t run to the buffet like people who haven’t eaten in three days. In fact, they didn’t seem to care about the food. As a writer, I have interviewed such people and found that they all have a very different relationship with food than those who are overweight. The difference is that eating to live is not living to eat.

Finally, it’s a good idea to reach out to the skinny people in your life and learn more about how their relationship with food differs from yours. Then we can work on learning how to say “no” to food.
