Sure, you’ve got your hips, your gloves, your chalk, and your BCAAs…but after that workout, after setting those new PRs…you’ll stay a woman. Why not be the most beautiful, feminine, confident woman you can be by taking care of the beauty basics?

I’ve compiled a list of things that I’ve found really helpful in the gym, and I’ve decided to share them with you.

Let’s dive right in!

1. Remove make-up wipes

You do know that makeup can cause breakouts, right? Well, you can leave your face sweaty with all the bad bacteria all over it after a workout! And if you train after work, with makeup on your face … this applies to you personally: Always remove makeup as soon as possible after training.

My personal favorite is Klorane. They are perfect for sensitive skin, and remove every bit, if you do.

2. Dry shampoo

I don’t know about you, but my hair gets really dirty after my workout. It was sweaty, and it just looked messy – which is a good thing, it means I’ve been working hard, right? Of course, but that doesn’t mean I want to leave the gym like the person who gave me a swirly!

I have two solutions to this problem. The first is dry shampoo. All I do is take my hair from the ponytail, apply the spray to the roots, and heat it upside down, for 30 seconds. The second solution is…

3. Hair styling paper

These are truly wonderful discoveries. They seem to lift any styling products I have on my hair before it gets sweaty and frizzy. They tame my hair, improve its health, and make it shiny – and they smell so good! I get the Ted Gibson Hairsheets. They are small and very easy to use!

4. Tinted moisturizer with SPF

You know how damaging those UV rays are, and I know you don’t want wrinkles – or skin cancer, for that matter. This means you should protect your skin at all times, even during those short walks from the gym to your car… and wherever you go after exercise. gym.

And if you’re applying SPF, why not even out your skin tone and show off that “after-heavy-squats” glow? I always use a moisturizer with SPF, and my favorite is Balm’s BalmShelter SPF 18 Tinted Moisturizer.

5. Soft body wash with a satisfying scent

I always take a quick shower after hitting the gym to avoid messing up my body by delaying the removal of all the dirt. Besides, why does it stink when you smell great walking (or leaning – depending on leg day or not) out of the gym?!

My favorite body wash for the gym is LoLLIA’s shower gel. It smells incredible, and makes my skin feel amazing.

6. Deodorant

Pretty self-explanatory, right? Everything smells so good! My current choice is Dove’s Clinical Protection.

7. Portable mouthwash pack

I honestly don’t know what I was doing before I found these handy little things! Sure, there are mouthwash bottles everywhere… but none work as well as Supersmile Fluoride Mouthwash Packets.

This entire line has whitened my teeth the way I started using it a couple of months ago, and I’m sure the little packets have something to do with that as well. They take up almost no room in my gym bag, and all I have to do to use them is add a little water, swirl it around to break up the dust, and rinse. Throw away the packaging, and walk away with fresh breath and clean, smooth teeth.

8. Body spray

Another self-explanatory item. I’ve been loving The Body Shop’s body sprays lately – their sales can’t be beat either!

9. Lip balm

So you probably don’t want to wear a lot of makeup in the gym – I bet you don’t! But a little gloss can go a long way, especially when your lips feel a little chapped after an hour of heavy breathing.

My gloss of choice is Neutrogena’s MoistureGloss Lip Soother with SPF 20. I love it because it’s so soft and soothing on chapped lips, and it makes me look effortlessly polished.

A tinted, glowing moisturizer is all you need to stay warm!

10. Rich, fast-absorbing hand cream in travel size

Your palms are numb for a reason! The skin on your palms is delicate, the least you can do is relax it after lifting heavy things for an hour straight!
