Can You Get Thin Fast and Still Eat Junk Food?

Let’s face it, we live in a society that loves to eat unhealthily. We make our daily trips to local fast food restaurants, eat donuts for breakfast, candy bars for a quick energy boost. Heck, even our “healthy” food is often processed and stripped of nutrition.

We are a junk food addicted society that loves anything fast. Not only do we want to lose weight fast, but we want to lose weight fast while continuing our junk food addictions.

Research has shown time and time again that the only way to lose weight is calories in vs calories out. It takes another 3500 calories to gain one pound. And those calories can come from anywhere, though it’s a lot easier to cram 3,500 calories of cake, cookies, and fried foods into your mouth than it is fruits and veggies.

So can you lose weight fast and eat junk food?

This might surprise you, but the answer is YES you can. But do you really want it?

Surely you could lose weight fast eating 1200 calories worth of chips, candy, cookies, maybe even hamburgers, fries and a soda. It might work if your only goal is to lose weight.

If your true goal is not only to be slim, but also healthy, looking better, feeling better, and having more energy than simply cutting calories is not going to be the answer you need.

Like I said it can be done, when I was entering the adult hood I decided I was tired of being chunky and was ready to slim down, and I wanted to slim down FAST. So I just limited my calories. I drank Pepsi, ate chips and candy but never really felt good. I was low on energy and moody, and got depressed easily.

It wasn’t until I started gathering information about eating and exercising and then started putting what I was learning into practice that I realized just how much of a difference it made. I felt GREAT. I was happy, full of energy, my skin was clear and I felt really proud of myself. Eventually I even became a strength coach and model.

My suggestion is that if you absolutely must eat a certain junk food (perhaps ice cream, candy, or soda) it’s to buy the mini packet of it and save the “treat” until the end of the day. You will feel better and continue to lose weight quickly.

Research shows that when you start your day eating unhealthily, you’re more likely to continue making “bad” food choices throughout the day.

I also find that doing a workout, even a quick one, at the start of the day gives me a huge boost for the rest of the day!
