If you don’t fight your body about what foods to eat, your body will start losing weight. This type of weight loss diet is called a non-diet method.
A non-diet approach to weight loss focuses on the physical, emotional and mental aspects of weight loss to help you achieve your goals. The physical aspect of this weight loss system teaches you to develop a healthy relationship with your body. You allow your body to be your guide as to what you should eat. You can eat whatever your body needs and still lose weight.
This may sound a little unbelievable to you. I will explain further. Your body knows what it needs to be at a healthy weight. When your body tells you it’s hungry, you eat. This shortens the time your body has to fight back and start lowering its metabolism. When your body tells you it’s full, it’s time to stop eating. This will reduce the amount of time you overeat.
Over the years of trying many weight loss diets, you may have come up with and believed several myths. Every person has their own myths about dieting. These myths are often accompanied by negative thoughts. These thoughts are usually about you and/or your abilities. A non-diet approach to weight loss focuses on the psychological and emotional aspects of dieting. This means that all the negative myths and thoughts you’ve been holding onto change into positive self-talk. When you feel positive about yourself and your abilities, you maintain a high level of motivation to achieve your goals.
