When you want to lose weight, it can be very difficult to find recipes that are as good as your mother’s, but not too fatty. With 200 recipes, this book offers a lot of hope for diabetics or people like me who want to lose weight. Now, sugar-free doesn’t mean that a food produced is completely sugar-free, just that you don’t add unnatural sugars.
My first impressions of this book are good. It looks good and is easy to read. I think the instructions are very easy to follow. It’s reasonably entertaining as cookbooks go.
Recipes cover all main meals, and even some snacks to get you through a long day.
It is ideal if you have to avoid certain foods due to medical conditions. In fact, the recipes are often free of gluten, sugar, and dairy in general.
I haven’t found another recipe book that is gluten and sugar free, so this is an ideal choice of book for most dieters.
But the real question is: are the recipes easy to eat, delicious and easy to make?
Now, don’t get me wrong. I am not a great cook. Most of the food I made was not presented with the same flair as the pictures. But even though I am not a good cook, I find most of these recipes easy to make. Although they are easy to make since I live in the countryside, sometimes it’s hard to find some unusual ingredients (which won’t happen if you live in a reasonably sized town with a health store nearby). But I was still able to make a good meal.
It’s fair to say that this book has enough variety to be able to have regular sugar-free meals without too much pain and with plenty of benefit.
This is an ideal book for nutritionists, dieters, or those with medical conditions that require avoiding certain foods.
The best thing about this book is that it is not a strange book that you have to worry about your health, it is clear that if you use the recipes in this book sensibly you will eat healthy food.
A lot of books offer healthy but boring food.
This book offers healthy and delicious meals that are not too difficult to make.
One particular section I liked was the recipes on breads, cakes and muffins. Being able to make them healthy is a real bonus. I think you can easily survive on the diet in this book, more so than a lot of New Age diets.
So my basic review is… this is a great book.
Well, you still have to exercise discipline and do those horrible exercises to lose weight, but at least you don’t have to eat horrible foods to do it.
