You know who you are! Some of the best ways to fight your inner demon are to consider the main reason you want to achieve your goal in the first place. Why is your goal important to you? Answer this honestly and it will make you want to stick with it and stay on it for the long haul. But….if you find yourself at the moment fighting with yourself about what to eat and what not to eat, follow these tips:
1.) Drink a glass of water first, so when you eat that “cake” you’re full and don’t overeat!
2.) Go for a brisk ten minute walk before you indulge and then see if you’re still hungry!
3.) Go to a workout (lifting weights) and then eat that “cake”. This way more sugars go to your muscles and not fat. To create a better after burn you need to lift weights at a higher intensity.
4.) Call your coach….people do this all the time. What I give them is motivation to stick to their goals.
5.) Eat that “cake” in the morning so you have all day to burn it off.
6.) Eliminate temptations at home. Put your fruit instead of chips on the counter.
7.) Identify the time of day you have a “craving” and make sure you are busy doing something you enjoy. It makes you forget.
8.) Create a support group to call or support your healthy endeavors!
