Eat Stop Eat Diet Program Saves Time and Money

Last summer I used the Eat Stop Eat diet program I found through a fitness forum. Many people on the forum who were getting results were using some form of fasting in their diet. My first though is that it sounds healthy. I was under the impression that I had to eat every 3 hours or my body would go into starvation mode. I got this in my head from another diet program I used in the past. Sometimes it’s hard to know what to believe. I desperately wanted to lose weight and this sounded like an easy program to follow. I had nothing to lose so I tried.

The whole philosophy of Stop eating program Fasting for 24 hours once or twice a week. How simple can you get? Most other diets require you to eat five small meals a day or eat the exact foods they tell you to. Some of these other diets are so complicated that people give up before even starting them.

Foods I ate on the Eat Stop Eat program

The Eat Stop Eat program does not restrict what you eat during your fast. Eat as you normally would. I had many foods that I was not allowed to eat on other diets. I have hot dogs, pizza, hamburgers, ice cream and other goodies. I wasn’t stuffing my face with them. You are allowed to moderate them once. The program doesn’t require you to count your calories but I counted mine. I want to make sure I don’t eat too much if I want to maintain my weight.

During the 24 hour fast I only consumed water, tea, black coffee and any 0 calorie diet sodas. I used to chew sugarless jaggery when I felt like eating.

Eat Stop Eat Program Benefits

I didn’t have to eat for two whole days in a week. Eating and preparing food takes time. Usually when you eat you have to stop what you were doing to prepare the food and then eat. You will usually feel tired following this as your body uses more energy to break down and use what you just ate. Your body remains the same without eating and you get extra time to focus on your tasks. This is great if you are working on projects or studying.

My grocery bills were lower because I cut out meals. I would have saved even more money after the program if I had usually eaten at restaurants. At least you can save ten dollars a week. What other diets can be said to save you money? Most of them make you want to buy expensive health food.

If you’re healthy and looking for a simple diet that you can stick to long-term, this might work for you.
