Maternal Nutrition is the Secret of Healthy Pregnancy and a Healthy, Well Developed Baby

Every mother wants to have an easy and uncomplicated pregnancy and a healthy baby. Unfortunately, more and more women are suffering from pregnancy complications, such as anemia, high blood pressure, thyroid problems, diabetes, premature birth, and low birth weight.

More babies are born with birth defects and many of those who appear normal at birth develop health problems later in life.

One in 10 children will have ADHD, one in 150 will develop autism. Children suffer from anxiety, depression and bipolar disorder. Children are suffering from type 2 diabetes, which was unheard of 20 years ago.

Experts agree that most of these problems can be reduced and even through proper nutrition during pregnancy.

Maternal nutrition affects not only pregnancy and birth weight, but also the risk of malnutrition, pregnancy complications, and disease. the mother, and the illness that will come when the child grows up.

Nutrients reduce the complications of pregnancy and birth

Studies have shown that a regular diet and nutritional supplements, such as fish oil, vitamins C and E can prevent maternal diseases during pregnancy and premature birth. Vitamin A and beta-carotene along with magnesium, fish oil and zinc can reduce maternal mortality. Iron and folic acid reduce anemia. Calcium reduces the risk of pre-eclampsia and high blood pressure.

Don’t rely on prenatal multivitamins – they don’t work

The sad truth is that the usual prescription prenatal vitamins do not correct most of the deficiencies, which are very common in pregnant women.

Prenatal multivitamins are poor nutritional sources. All ingredients are synthetic, so your body can’t use them like it uses natural nutrients from food.

Plus it’s full of chemicals, like crospovidone, FD&C Red No. 40 aluminum lake, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, lactose, magnesium stearate, light mineral oil, polysorbate 80, sodium lauryl sulfate, stearic acid, xyloid, titanium dioxide and triethyl citrate. Neither you nor your children need these chemicals. They do not help, they can only cause harm.

How to make sure that you have the best food

Eat good food. This means eating natural foods. Oatmeal is natural, but cereal made from oats that look like little donuts is not. Steak is natural, but lunch meat is not. Eggs are natural, egg beaters are unnatural synthetics.

In other words, eat food as it is naturally produced and avoid processed, man-made food. This usually means avoiding anything that comes in boxes, cans, and plastic packages and anything that has an expiration date a month from today. Really spoiled food, junk food is full of preservatives, so it can last a long time.

Try to minimize soda, ice cream, cookies, white bread and white rice, most breakfast cereals, and all other foods.

But even eating a healthy diet can leave you deficient in important nutrients. This is why I recommend supplements.
