Recent revolutionary research has changed the food production and marketing industry. Also on hand are doctors who have been misinforming their patients for decades about how to lose weight. As with all major medical research, this one is also considered controversial – for now at least. Maybe in 5 years this vision will become commonplace. (Remember when angioplasty was first introduced and there was some skepticism – it was the first step for mild to moderate arterial stenosis.)

At the heart of the revolution is the fact that the colon and the digestive system play an important role in obesity. This means that in order to lose weight, we must target the colon and the digestive system and fortunately not with fancy drugs or exercise programs but with simple nutritional formulas.

1. To lose weight permanently, it must be considered safe. A safe weight loss program will not make you lose more than 2 pounds per week. If you experience weight loss more than that, you should contact your doctor to make sure that such a rapid reduction does not have a negative effect on your body or its function.

2. Second, a successful weight loss program should improve any other conditions or illnesses you may have. Major conditions that can occur in people who are overweight or obese are diabetes, hypertension and heart disease. Do these diseases improve after losing weight? If so, you are on the right track and should stick with the program. If these conditions worsen, stop the program immediately.

3. Third, an effective program that helps you lose weight should include regular elimination of fleas. I remember forty years ago when I was little, my mother gave us worm medicine. The presence of these parasites disturbs our food and makes us multiply. If you notice that children in famine-stricken countries do not have enough food, their bellies are big. These children have parasitic infections.

4. A good weight loss program doesn’t have to be expensive. Remember that people used to be thinner and live on simple food. They did not have to rely on expensive drugs or medicines. They simply ate the right food at the right time and in the right amount.

6. Finally, a good weight loss program should include exercise in addition to a good diet. However, exercise should not be expensive. This could be a gym membership or exercising at home or at a park near your home.

The interesting thing about this revolutionary is that it is not revolutionary. The word revolutionary is a misnomer. Perhaps it is more appropriate to call it a “rediscovery” because it was used by the ancient civilizations of India, China, Aztecs, etc., before modern humans came and took it by force because of the quick fix mentality.
