2 Recipes That Can Cure Yeast Infections and Why

Candida albicans is the scientific name for the yeast that causes tooth decay. Candida is a naturally occurring microbe in every man, woman and child on earth. This is why treating chronic yeast infections can be problematic. Because it occurs naturally in our bodies, when our bodies are out of balance, the yeast can begin to take over. If you have chronic yeast infections, perhaps the best way to get rid of them for good is to change your diet. Candida is a yeast and therefore thrives on sweet and savory foods. By reducing and eliminating these types of foods from your diet, you can begin to fight recurring yeast infections.

Yeast infections can be caused by many things including antibiotic treatment associated with other problems, stress, poor nutrition and autoimmune diseases such as AIDS. Whatever the reason for your situation, you can fight. By adjusting your diet and even supplementing, you can ensure that yeast infections never come back. The key to doing this is to make a series of small changes in life. If you can start today by changing your diet, you can begin to starve the Candida that has been interfering with your life.

Foods to avoid to kill yeast include:

  • Dairy (not butter)
  • fruit
  • Sweet
  • Bread
  • cereals
  • Pasta

I know it sounds like a lot and it’s a bit of a cut from the typical American diet. However, if you’re really sick of fighting these yeast infections, it’s time to make a change. Additionally, an added benefit of changing your diet can be weight loss. I don’t want to pile too much on your plate but if you need to start changing your diet for chronic yeast infection you may be able to do that to lose some weight as well. If necessary of course.

This was an unexpected side effect of the 90 day yeast infection program for me. After changing my diet and taking supplements I haven’t had a yeast infection in over a year and before that I was fighting them almost every month. It took me about a month to see a reduction in my symptoms and I really enjoyed changing my diet. Not only was my yeast infection cured, but I was healthier. Food has been found to be the best natural remedy for yeast infections.

Below are two of my favorite recipes that are super easy to make and delicious to eat. Also, my husband will have dinner with me and I don’t make two dinners or send him out for special meals. I hope you enjoy.

RESEARCH 1

Breakfast – Mexican Omelet

4 eggs

4 tablespoons rice, soy or almond milk (unsweetened) if desired

1 mashed avocado

Cottage cheese

Pico de Gallo – See below

Pico de Gallo

1 1/2 cups chopped tomatoes

1/4 cup chopped red onion

1 teaspoon chopped jalapenos

1 tablespoon of garlic

Water with 2 limes

2 teaspoons cilantro

Salt and pepper

Instructions: Combine all the ingredients to make the Pico de Gallo in a bowl and set aside. For an omelet, combine eggs and rice, soy or almond milk in a bowl. Pour the egg mixture into the pan over medium heat until the center is set. Use a rubber spatula to loosen the edges and then lift the jar to allow the eggs to float underneath and cook. Fold the edges of the egg in the middle when it is cooked.

Spoon the Pico de Gallo over the omelet and top with Cotija cheese.

RESEARCH 2

Dinner – Roast Chicken

1 roast chicken (6 lbs. or more)

2 tablespoons without salt

1 lemon

3 large cloves of garlic, chopped

4 sprigs of fresh thyme

Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Directions: Allow the chicken and 1 tablespoon of butter to come to room temperature. This should take about an hour. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Remove the giblets and excess fat from the chicken cavity. Rinse the chicken inside and out under cold water. Dry the chicken well with a towel. Tuck the wing tips under the chicken’s body. Season the inside of the chicken with salt and pepper and set aside.

Roll the lemon on a flat surface with firm pressure under your hand to release the juice. Then squeeze the lemon with a fork so that the juice circulates freely. Cut the garlic into 4 large pieces. Add the garlic, thyme sprigs and lemon wedges to the cavity. Place the chicken in the pan. Use the 18 inch thread to secure the legs.

Spread the melted butter over the whole chicken and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place in the oven, and roast until the skin is golden brown and crisp and the juices run clear when pierced, about 1 1/2 hours. Be sure to use a meat thermometer to check for doneness.

Remove the chicken from the oven and transfer to a cutting board. Let the chicken sit for 10 to 15 minutes to absorb the juices. Carve and serve.
