Limiting yourself to eating only low-calorie forms of meat like chicken and fish allows you to eat more for your 500-calorie daily allowance. Other low-calorie quick meals include protein bars/meal replacements, meal replacement shakes, and Healthy Choice/Lean Cuisine frozen dinners. All you can have is a whole meal for about 200 calories.

4. Take a break/reward yourself

So you did the 500 calorie diet for an entire week and lost 10 lbs. Great! Have a cupcake, a cheeseburger, some ice cream. It’s important to reward yourself and not be unhappy while on a diet. Having a cheat day never hurt anyone!
