How I Lost 15 Pounds in 7 Weeks Without Even Trying
I know it sounds hard to believe but it worked for me and all I did was cut the meat. Before you freak out and throw your hands in the air and say… I can’t stop eating meat, it might be worth a try.
I had read a book called Quantum Wellness and the author’s arguments for cutting meat out of your diet are pretty compelling. I’m 42 and have eaten meat all my life, but I’ve always thought there was some truth to the theory that we’re not really meat eaters. Our teeth aren’t shaped like meat eaters, and our intestines take too long to digest meat. 6 days instead of two hours for vegetables. (Imagine what that meat is like after 6 days in your gut!)
I literally gave up on meat and the whole way I ate changed. Traditionally we focus our meals on meat and everything else is secondary when this changes the way you eat also changes because you have to focus your meal on what used to be a secondary food, vegetables.
You’ll find yourself eating stuffed chickpea burgers and couscous patties and feeling full. You can add loads of flavor with herbs and spices and never again feel uncomfortably full, just pleasantly satisfied. When you cut into meat, your body seems to work more efficiently, you feel fuller faster, and your stomach starts to shrink very quickly.
I am now losing weight gradually but steadily to the point where I have lost enough and would like to stop losing weight now but am not sure how. My body seems to find its natural level and I can eat little treats pretty much whenever it pleases me and still not gain as much as I used to.
I would check with your doctor before making this type of change to your diet, but it worked for me. I went from 80kg to 74kg in 7 weeks and didn’t feel like I was depriving myself of anything, it was easy.
