Well, before I get into the reasons why eating “bad foods” on a diet is beneficial, I want to talk to you about something real quick. Now yes, it is important to actually include bad foods in your diet, but of course, this comes with a catch…and I might add a good catch. The catch is that you can’t eat too much junk food while dieting. That should be obvious. It’s important that you include bad foods (as you’ll see below), but if you want to lose weight, you definitely need to eat these foods in moderation.

Also, one mental tip I want to give you when eating foods you love while dieting is… enjoy these foods. Savor every last bit of that one cookie, or a small slice of cheese, or a small piece of dark chocolate (which is good for you because it has a good amount of antioxidants), etc.

1. You will increase your metabolism! This is the truth! If you follow the right kind of diet, and if you stay consistent with it, and then you eat small amounts of the food you like once in a while, you can actually make your metabolism skyrocket. Now please understand, this only works if the primary foods you eat are healthy and clean (raw, natural and organic) foods…and then eat a small portion of the foods you love once in a while.

2. You avoid being deprived! Deprivation is the most popular side effect of fad diets! Therefore, I highly recommend you to avoid super restrictive fad diets that completely eliminate foods and certain nutrients from your diet. Doing this causes deprivation… and it makes you miserable… and you’re more likely to withdraw from your diet.

3. You will find it easier to stick to your diet! As long as you choose a reputable, proven effective and simple diet program, you should have no problem staying motivated on the program. However, if you eat the foods you love in moderation, sticking to a diet and living a healthy lifestyle will be even easier!
