2 Delicious Healthy Breakfast Ideas for Weight Loss

There is nothing worse than eating the same boring meals over and over again. One of the biggest misconceptions is the idea that a healthy diet has to be boring to be beneficial, and it really bugs me. You can enjoy delicious food and to prove it, I am going to give you 2 delicious healthy breakfast ideas for weight loss. These meals are perfect for breakfast (no matter what time you have) and are super easy to make.

The first healthy breakfast idea for weight loss is a mixed nut granola recipe that is really healthy and delicious. The problem with store-bought granola is that they are usually loaded with sugar. On top of that, the recommended serving sizes are smaller than what the average person eats. Usually the recommended serving size on packets of granola is around 40g but in reality a bowl of granola can be anywhere from 100-150g. This can be problematic and lead to overeating. For the nuts in this healthy breakfast idea for weight loss you can use mixed nuts or stick with your favorites, my favorites in this recipe are almonds, hazelnuts and walnuts.

Mixed granola

Service 1

ingredients

• 200 g rolled oats (gluten free)

• 10 g organic butter, melted

• 120 g chopped mixed nuts

• 1 tsp. Vanilla

• 2 tbsp. Minced fresh ginger

method

1. Preheat oven to 300°F/150°C.

2. In a mixing bowl, thoroughly combine the rolled oats and melted butter. Transfer to a large baking dish and spread evenly.

3. Bake for 45-55 minutes, stirring every ten minutes, until the oats are lightly colored. 20 minutes into the baking time add the nuts, ginger and vanilla and mix thoroughly.

4. Serve or store in a covered container. Keeps in refrigerator for two weeks.

Special breakfast eggs

Service 1

ingredients

• 2 organic eggs, beaten

• A handful of frozen or fresh peas

• A handful (7 or more) of plump and juicy tiger prawns

• Himalayan rock salt, ground black pepper

• A handful of chopped coriander leaves

• Coconut oil

method

1. Heat a frying pan with butter or coconut oil.

2. Add the beaten eggs and let them cook while you scramble them.

3. Add peas and shrimp, salt and pepper to taste.

4. Mix everything well until the eggs are cooked.

5. Serve hot with coriander leaves.

This is one of my favorite healthy breakfast ideas for weight loss because there is a sense of class and sophistication about this recipe.
