How To Stay Lean Over The Holidays While Still Enjoying Good Foods

NOTE: the following recipe works for any holiday season!

I love Christmas! I really do.

It will be so fun to last all year!

The downside: everyone will look like Santa… happy, fat and round!

Well, don’t worry, I’m not going to tell you to eat during X-Mas or to only eat whole grain muffins.

Christmas is the one time of the year when you really don’t want to worry about food and body fat and everything. This is the time when you really want to let your hair down, have fun, and maybe even “party” a little.

But… there’s only one problem with that, right?

People gain a lot of weight (fat), it’s not very healthy, and then, after that, you have all your sorrows…

Some even completely abandon their healthy lifestyle and blow up like a balloon!

This leads to poor health, poor appearance and a short life…not so good, eh? Not very nice.

But it doesn’t have to be that way. What if there was a way to get through the holidays and still be fit and slim? Sounds too good to be true? Join me…

So here’s what I do, and it works like a charm:

I suffer first, not later.

I get down to 4% body fat and then, during the holidays, let the percentage go up to 7. Because of the Hormonal response to overeating and fat, lean another 1-2% – so back to 5/6% – it will be EASY!

Now let’s do the math: it won’t be difficult, but my body weight is 4 to 7% which means 5 kilos+… of body fat.

Note: this does not mean the weight of the body, which may increase a little more, mainly due to water retention. We are talking about pure lard. Gaining 2.5 pounds of fat can instantly increase your total weight by 10 pounds and more!

But we don’t care about that, we only look at pure fat gain.

Now, 5 pounds of body fat equals … drum-roll … a good 20,000 kcls!

That’s 200000 calories of chocolate chip cookies, Quadruple Chocolate Cake, Eggnog, Glühwein, Pancakes, Custard Cream Donuts…

OK, OK, I’m fine … I’m calm, I’m calm!

That’s why, according to the estimate, good 7 days of the whole 5,000 calories of Christmas food and drink is glorious! (Remember, we’re going to ABOVE maintenance to get to that weight! So I’m 2000-calories a day, plus 7 x 3000 extra = 21000!

O Glory!

7 full days of Christmas ‘Foodie-Cheers’ (and Holidays) spread throughout the Holidays… it doesn’t get much better than that!

If you do it right, it will be good for your mind, and even your body.

Another tip: adding lots of fiber, such as psyllium husk and oat bran to homemade cookies and cakes will make them healthier and more filling. Some red wine is good for you too.
