The research done by Dr. Fujioka from the Nutrition and Metabolic Research Center at Scripps Clinic said that grapefruit can actually help you lose weight. Respondents who ate grapes for half a meal lost 3.6 pounds and those who drank grape juice lost 3.3 pounds over 12 weeks. Although this number is not surprising, it is a good number considering the amount of food consumed. Remember, this does not enforce strict eating habits.

A natural exercise and healthy eating plan is the key to weight loss but you don’t have to worry if you follow this diet. However, this diet does not promote a sense of portion control that can influence its followers in their eating habits. So add grape juice or fruit to your diet, but eat your food wisely!
