Are you a little overweight but looking for that hourglass figure? The silhouette is smooth, no rolls, just curves. There is only one problem. Due to the stress of the things that surround us every day, perhaps you have gained a few extra pounds.

You may have thought about this and since the rest of my life is heading in the right direction, you wish your weight and health were heading in that direction as well.

I guess what I’m trying to say here is are you looking for motivation and weight loss tips? You may want to get fit and healthy so that you can be around for a long time and enjoy life.

First of all, set goals.

Write them on paper.

Track your progress, reevaluate your goals along the way.

Try to get faster/stronger/better at whatever you do in the gym every time you go.

Your diet is the most important factor when you’re trying to lose weight. Healthy eating doesn’t have to be expensive, and you don’t have to starve yourself to lose weight. Eating breakfast is extremely important to start your day and increase your metabolism throughout the day.

Eating a good breakfast also helps to avoid snacking throughout the day. I generally suggest eating a serving of PLAIN oatmeal (the original Quaker stuff, not the “quick oats” crap) with skim milk (which is cheaper than 2% fat milk where I live), a hard-boiled egg , 6 fresh almonds , a small apple or banana and orange juice or water. Make sure you eat plenty of vegetables (tomatoes, carrots, lettuce, steamed broccoli, cucumbers, onions, lettuce, spinach, etc.) and fruits.

Don’t eat more than one of each type, especially fruits that contain a lot of sugar, such as bananas. Protein is also a big part of our diet, and you can get plenty of protein from poultry, chicken, fish (tuna, salmon), and lean meats.

Avoid processed meats (sausages, hot dogs, fast food meats) and DO NOT EAT FAST FOOD. A meal is loaded with calories and saturated fat that won’t help you.

I don’t want to hear excuses from you, so get busy.
