When you go to the market to buy salmon, make sure it’s still fresh and not infested. A fresh salmon will shine in appearance. I can’t give you a standard on how to choose fresh salmon because there are different types of salmon on the market. The freshness however could already be observed based on the appearance.

This luxurious dish is very easy to make and very tasty. Besides enjoying the dish, you also enjoy the health benefits it can give you. Salmon is rich in antioxidants and also aids in colon and intestinal detoxification, so a big help if you’re trying to lose weight.

Here are the ingredients you need to buy for your dill salmon steaks.

4 salmon steaks (about 1/2 pound each)

1/4 cup lemon juice

2 tablespoons of olive oil

3 tablespoons chopped fresh dill or 2 teaspoons dried dill herb

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon white pepper

To cook, blend the lemon juice, oil, dill, salt and pepper in a bowl. To put aside. Prepare the salmon steak in a 23 x 33 cm ovenproof dish. Coat the salmon with the previously prepared mixture. Wrap the baking sheet with the salmon in aluminum foil or cling film. Cool and marinate the salmon steaks for four hours. When the salmon is ready to cook, place it on a foil-lined rack and cook for 30 minutes or until cooked through over medium-low heat. This recipe is best served with a side salad and boiled new potatoes.
