The message is simple: you want to lose weight and enjoy the rewards, to be healthier and live longer, you need to exercise. The best thing to do is make an exercise plan. A plan is essential to keep you on track. If you’re too casual about your exercise and there’s no structure to follow, it’s not going to happen.

There are three types of exercises that you need to fit into your plan. Aerobics, endurance and flexibility. Aerobic exercise is probably the most important and if you are trying to lose weight at least one hour of aerobic exercise a day is what you should aim to achieve. You have to approach this gradually. The best form of exercise? The simplest and easiest is walking. This doesn’t mean walking, it means walking deliberately: if you do this run every day you will burn calories.

If you execute your exercise program correctly, it will be a blueprint you can use for the rest of your life. The health benefits you will enjoy by having the right plan will be enormous. Don’t underestimate this. Your health is determined by your actions, not those of others. The dollar definitely stops with you. Take this challenge and accept it. It will be one of the wisest things you have ever done.
