What I’m going to focus on today are some of the things you should consider, some of the things you should do, and some of the things you should avoid at all costs. So, if you’re looking for the fastest way to gain weight, pay close attention to every word on this page.

Just like weight loss, weight gain depends a lot on the food you put into your body, so it should come as no surprise that people are often on the lookout for diets to gain weight. On the surface, you’d think this would be easy, right? Just stuff your face with candy bars, chips, and other junk food and you’ll start packing, right? Well, you’ll definitely put on a few pounds, but you’ll also be fat, which for health reasons as well as self-image is more dangerous than being too thin in many cases.

When putting together your diet on how to gain weight, you should consider and include foods that are high in calories and protein, but low in fat. I’m not saying you want to eat “fat free,” but you definitely don’t want to go from lean twig to Fat Albert, do you? Think like lean meat, nuts and bread. You’re not going to drink a couple of smoothies and suddenly look like Mr. Universe with a freshly found 24-pack and women who want to hang your bulging muscles.

Realistically though, things like whey protein and the like, in most cases can kickstart muscle gain and accelerate the rate at which you see results if you stick to a diet, routine of compound exercises or both. While supplements have their place, it is my personal opinion that weight gain pills should for the most part be avoided like the plague. Most of them have not been properly approved by the FDA and do not have proper research studies that you can really believe in. But the companies that make them know that people (you and I) love to take pills for everything. Heck, look at the diet pill industry. Every year they sell billions of dollars worth of pills that contain just over 10 coffee cups of caffeine, but because of the notion that one pill will give results, people just can’t get enough.

Overall, I’d say the fastest way to gain weight would be a healthy combination of exercise, weight gain supplements, and a solid weight gain diet. Actually, putting all the pieces of the puzzle together is not as easy as it seems in the things you read online or probably in your head. Starting a new routine usually requires serious discipline and trust that what you’re doing will actually give you the results you’re looking for.

This is why it is so important to follow a program that is already proven to give you the results you desire. It’s no secret that the easiest way to be successful is to follow someone who has already achieved what you are trying to accomplish. It doesn’t matter if it’s building a car engine, painting a boat, or trying to get fat. If you don’t follow someone who started out in the same position you’re in now and come out the other side successfully, then you’re setting yourself up to fail from the start. Just having confidence that you’re heading in the right direction is a huge factor in itself when you’re trying to gain weight.
